‘Stones from New Zealand’ was created by figurative sculpture artist Sheila Oettinger from Evanston, Illinois after a week exploring the South Island of New Zealand on a private small group tour with us. The stones were collected from beaches and river beds on the West Coast of the South Island. It captures the essence of a journey around New Zealand.

We got home on Wed. night and back to work on Thurs (difficult!) Had an absolutely fantastic time on your beautiful island – we took the sunshine with us the whole way around, except for SNOW in Queenstown which was just what we ordered! Four of us made our first trip to NZ and Lyndal was very helpful in the planning of the trip, as well as providing exceptional service once we arrived. We took a one day tour of the Waipara Valley wineries early during our stay. Our guide was excellent in providing information about NZ, the region, and specific wineries. She even arranged a tasting at a winery that was closed for the season. She also suggested places for us to visit during the rest of our stay and took us to a store that was having a factory sale on fine NZ knit ware.
